How to Compare Beauty-Device Specifications

How to Compare Beauty-Device Specifications

Beauty-device comparison becomes easier when you separate the technology from the marketing. Start with the exact model and ask what each specification means for use, safety and ownership.

Compare like with like

An LED mask, an EMS tool, an RF device and an IPL device use different technologies. A specification that matters for one category may be irrelevant to another. Compare devices within the same technology before comparing them across categories.

For LED and light-care devices

Look for exact wavelengths, light output, treatment area, session protocol, fit, eye guidance, charging or controller design and model-specific documentation.

For EMS or microcurrent-style devices

Look at intensity control, contact area, conductive-medium requirements, placement guidance, session instructions and contraindications. More intensity levels do not automatically mean a better routine.

For RF devices

Temperature control, treatment guidance, contact requirements, energy specifications and safety documentation are important. RF should not be evaluated only by a marketing claim about heat or “lifting.”

For IPL devices

Review compatibility guidance for skin tone and hair color, energy settings, treatment window, flash information, preparation instructions and contraindications for the exact model.

Then compare ownership

Ask what is included in the box, whether replacement components are available, how the device is charged and cleaned, what the warranty covers and where the manual lives. These details often matter more after the first week than an extra feature on the product card.

North Elara’s approach

Permanent North Elara devices are being organized around exact-model specifications and documentation. Supplier candidates stay separate from production-approved products until their samples and technical files have been evaluated.
